Use ModelFold from your coding agent

ModelFold ships two Agent skills — a small set of instructions your coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other skill-aware agents) loads on its own. Once installed, you describe the result you want in plain language and the agent makes the API calls. No more pasting docs into the chat.

Set your API key first: export MODELFOLD_API_KEY=your_key. Don't have one? Create it in Console → API Keys.

modelfold-models — build with ModelFold models Available

Lets the agent use ModelFold's image, video, speech and chat models directly. It looks up the live model list, picks the right endpoint, sends the request, waits for the result and saves the file where you asked.

Good for: adding generation to your own app, or producing image, video and audio files directly.

modelfold-chat-agents — use ModelFold in coding agents Available

Run Claude Code, Codex CLI or Grok Build on ModelFold chat models, paid with ModelFold credits. ModelFold serves each vendor's native protocol (Anthropic Messages, OpenAI Responses, xAI Responses) with streaming and tool use — you only change the base URL and key.

Good for: running your coding agent on ModelFold models and billing.

Quick start

Install the skill (once per machine, requires Node.js):

Create an API key in Console → API Keys.
Export it as MODELFOLD_API_KEY. The skill reads the key from this variable, so it never goes into your project files.
macOS / Linux:

Restart the agent and just ask. For example: "Use the modelfold-models skill to list the image models on ModelFold".

To update to the latest skill version, run the install command again.
